with all 3 of the top teams playing today eva's had to make sure they kept up the pace with them by getting a victory over east butterwick. with a weakened squad it ment daryl continued his 1st team appearences and brew also got a rare start. greeny made his 1st mistake as captain by losing the toss and the game never really got much better for evas. East butterwick made it hard work for evas but towards the end of the 1st half daryl played a defence splitting through ball of which rick ran onto and put evas 1 up. with bibbys pushing beacon to the end on the next pitch we had to hold on to the win to eep the title chances alive. truth betold east butterwick didnt really come close to scoring but played well through the middle but the strong partnership of watson and green brought any chance they had to an end. towards the end of the 2nd half rick finally cracked, after constant sarcastic remarks and a lot of moaning from simon brown he decided enough was enough and layed in to him (verbally not pyhsiclly). The game ended 1-0 a win well deserved and it keeps the top of the league very close.
