Comment: I was looking through some old books at the weekend and came across a postcard dated 7/4/16

It was addressed to Hadley Pinder at the George Hotel in Kirton and was sent from Denmark

I believe Hadley is my great grandfather and was wondering if anyone had any information about the Pinder family from this time

I was stationed in Kirton doing my national service

I lived in a rented cottage on Dunstan Hill owned by Mr and Mrs Marshall

My name is James Harden

I have never ever managed to get back

The years were from 1956-1957 (I was twenty one then)

I often think about my enjoyable time there

Is the George Hotel still there? My colleague, Mrs Page lived there, as her Father owned it

I would be grateful for any information or a photo

Comment: My mum lived here many years ago her surname back then was Brockelsbury

When she was in her teens she gave birth to a baby boy but gave him up for personal reasons

My mums first name is Elizabeth

I would be interested to find any information on the whereabouts of the boy who is probably in his fifties or late forties now

Please contact me on chewybear@live.co.uk

Anything would be a help as i've hit a brick wall.

Hello,
My grandmother lived in Kirton from around 1934 and later owned a chip shop on March Street.

She had 4 or 5 children [not too sure at moment] Margaret, Michael, Peter and Harry.

Please, if anyone remembers the family, I would love to hear from you
Thank you
