The Choir was formed in 1924 making it one of the oldest choirs in the district.
We meet at 7.15 pm each Thursday evening at Gurnell St. School, Scunthorpe.
Our Musical Director is Keith Morgan who started to work with the Choir in November 2007.
Recently we have seen some major changes and modernisation.
The practice of singing without copies at concerts has been maintained and to assist the new members a programme for concerts is designed to allow individiuals to take part in concerts but allow them flexibility to sit out for items which they are less familiar with. This is to encourage them to take part in concerts before being able to perform the whole concert programme.
In 2006 the new Uniforms were purchased to give a whole new look to the choir.
